Below you will find important information to help you prepare for the ceremony celebrating your graduation on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Franklin Field. Please view the checklist below and semester timelines to make sure you’re on track for graduation and to participate in the ceremony. Also be sure to view our interactive map to help your families know where to sit during the ceremony and see where you line up to walk and sit on the field with your major.

The Application to Graduate in Spring 2024 is now open.

 

Students should know that any delay in major or minor certification, posting of grades, or meeting any other graduation obligation may result in a delay of graduation. In that case, the student would be graduated in the next cycle (August/December/May).

  • Check in Path@Penn to ensure that you have fulfilled, or will fulfill, all requirements, including major requirements, by the end of spring semester, 2024. If you have questions, see an advisor in the College Office (drop-in hours are Monday-Friday from 12 to 4 p.m.).
  • Notify your major advisor of your intention to graduate in May 2024 and discuss any outstanding issues with them. Departments and programs will certify majors in early spring.
  • Register to participate in the College Ceremony. (Registration for the Ceremony will open February 13)
Senior Year Semester Timelines

Students should:

  • Meet with their major advisor to make sure all requirements for the major will be completed and to discuss future plans.
  • Review the degree audit in Path@Penn to check their progress toward fulfilling requirements before the end of the Course Selection period.
  • Confirm that their intended graduation date and local address are correct on Path@Penn.
  • Visit the Center for Undergraduate Research and Fellowships (CURF) if considering research or information on post-graduate fellowships and scholarships.
  • Consider applying for Senior Awards.
  • Check with Career Services for information about graduate study and applying for jobs.
  • Consider sharing their major with underclassmen by becoming Major Advising Program (MAP) advisors.
