Dr. Howell holds a Ph.D. in History from the University of Pennsylvania. His research interests include African American history, culture, and community formation, Philadelphia, and urban history.

Nafisah Ray

Assistant to the Dean & Director of Academic Affairs

Nafisah joined Penn in October of 2021 as the Assistant to the Dean of the College and Assistant to the Director of Academic Affairs. She holds a B.A in English with a minor in African American Studies from West Chester University.
