Assistant Dean for Advising
Dr. McGlone earned her Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Musicology where she wrote about experimental electronic and popular musical spaces in the city of New York in the late 1960s, most notably The Electric Circus. Her research and teaching interests include audio culture, urban geography, the sociology of music in culture, music in everyday life, and music as a force for social justice. She teaches freshman seminars that are cross-listed between Music and Urban Studies, including ones designated as Academically Based Community Service courses. |
