Petitions
Students in the College wishing the waiver of a College regulation should first discuss the matter with an assistant dean for advising in the College Office. If that advisor is unable to resolve the matter, the student may petition the Committee on Undergraduate Academic Standing.
Office of the Ombudsman
The Ombudsman is available to assist students and other members of the University community who have questions or complaints about academic disputes, access to resources, use of authority, compensation equity, discrimination or interpersonal tensions. All interviews are confidential. The Ombudsman is concerned with safeguarding individual rights and promoting better channels of communication throughout the University. The Ombudsman is not an advocate for any one individual or group and is independent of all administrative offices. He is an advocate for fairness, adherence to University regulations, due process, and personal responsibility.
