Students with questions or concerns about University policies or procedures, they are strongly encouraged to speak with an assistant dean for advising in the College Office as early as possible. Assistant deans can often help resolve the issue or recommend an appropriate course of action.
Students are expected to understand and adhere to the policies and procedures outlined by the University and by the College of Arts and Sciences. If a student believes that his or her circumstance uniquely warrants an exemption from standing policies, there are mechanisms in place to hear the student's position. It is important to note that the student's request for exemption may be denied.
