Pilot Curriculum Major with Research Experience. The role of the major is to ensure that all graduates of the College develop a thorough understanding in a particular field of knowledge through concentrated study over several years in at least 12 courses.The Pilot Curriculum goes one step further by requiring a research experience in which students participate directly in discovery that advances the boundaries of knowledge in their field.

Declaring Your Major. You must declare your major before Advanced Registration in the spring semester of your sophomore year. In preparation, read all printed information about the major, including the handout or manual available in the department or on line. It is also advisable to talk with other majors in that department and the undergraduate chair before meeting with your academic advisor to discuss your plans.
