Academic
Goals: Although
I have not yet declared a major, politics is my passion and I plan
to study political
science here in the College. The dynamics
of government fascinate me, and I truly believe that politics
is a means to serve others and help those in need. I also hope
to study some business, and the
Public Policy classes at Wharton interest me. I would love to study
abroad, especially in England or Tahiti (my dream destination).
Interests
Outside the Classroom: Outside
of the classroom I am very involved with PENN
Democrats, and planning
events with them throughout the
2004 presidential election was a thrill. I am training to
be an Admissions Ambassador, and tutor 7th grade math once a week
at
a school in
West Philadelphia.
I am an active member of Hillel, IAA, and Model
Congress-I am
very excited for all their trips and conferences!
Involvement
in the Pilot Curriculum Advisory Board:
I am honored to represent the Class of 2008 on the PCAB. I plan
to make a difference by representing your interests and addressing
your needs. I think the strongest features of the Pilot Curriculum
are that its classes are structured around students'
interests, that there is a large and diverse number of classes
to chose from, and that the classes remain interdisciplinary, giving
students a wide range of views on a particular subject. I think
the Pilot Curriculum has been a great "experiment" because
it has allowed students to shape their academics around their individual
goals and passions.
