In the unlikely event of dangerous weather (continuous downpour and lightning) the College’s graduation ceremony will be moved indoors to the Palestra. Should the ceremony be held at that location, there will be a limit of two ticketed guests per graduate.
Only ticketed guests will be allowed into the ceremony and seats will be assigned. A decision to move the ceremony indoors will be made at 3 p.m. on the day of the event and will be announced via the following ways:
• During the second Baccalaureate Ceremony
• KYW (1060 am) • WXPN (88.5 fm)
• The University’s emergency weather line (215.898.MELT)
• The graduation hot-line (215.573.GRAD)
• The College home page (don't forget to refresh or reload the page).
In the event of dangerous weather necessitating a move of the ceremony to the Palestra, accessible seating will be extremely limited. Written requests for limited mobility seating will be accommodated on a first come first served basis. Only the first 24 applicants can be accomodated.
Please contact Margaret Mary Thomas in the College Office (249 South 36th Street, 120 Claudia Cohen Hall, Philadelphia, PA 19104-6304, phone: 215.898.6341, fax: 215-573-2023) should you wish to reserve limited mobility seating at the Palestra. Note: only one reservation per graduate for limited mobility seating in the Palestra can be accommodated.
