All students are welcome and encouraged to speak with a member of the advising staff in the College Office. These advisors can help students explore the many options and opportunities available to College students, and are available by appointment or on a walk-in basis throughout the year.
Assistant deans for advising are available by appointment, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or on a walk-in basis for quick questions from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the College Office, 120 Cohen Hall, 215.898.6341.

Dr. Fetni holds a law degree from New York University, and a Master of Laws as well as a Ph.D. in International Relations from Penn. As a member of the Sociology Department faculty, he has developed courses on topics such as law and society, law in Africa, law and social change, and the sociology of the legal profession. He also teaches international law and the theory of international relations. |

Dr. McGlone earned her Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Musicology where she wrote about experimental electronic and popular musical spaces in the city of New York in the late 1960s, most notably The Electric Circus. Her research and teaching interests include audio culture, urban geography, the sociology of music in culture, music in everyday life, and music as a force for social justice. She teaches freshman seminars that are cross-listed between Music and Urban Studies, including ones designated as Academically Based Community Service courses. |

Assoc. Dir., Benjamin Franklin Scholars Ms. Linda Wiedmann is a native Philadelphian and graduate of Bucknell University. As the Associate Director of the Benjamin Franklin Scholars, she has developed opportunities for student research, established the University-wide research and fellowship directory and helped to create many innovative honors courses. She is interested in seeing that students learn about the neighborhoods which the University affects, and that they take maximum advantage of city life. She has a particular interest in the role of women in higher education, and serves as president of Penn's Association of Women Faculty and Administrators. |
