Civic Scholars
The Civic Scholars certificate program is a remarkable opportunity for College students to engage in extra-curricular, volunteer community service and social advocacy work. Each semester, more than two dozen special academically-based community service courses are also offered where students address such issues as urban healthcare, education, housing, and poverty in West Philadelphia neighborhoods and engage in activities ranging from tutoring and mentoring local youth to working with global organizations. Summer internships are a component of the program.
