Mentoring Meal with Yowei Shaw (C'10, Sociology), Freelance Reporter & Audio Producer

Yowei Shaw is a freelance audio producer, public radio reporter, and the founder and former director of Philly Youth Radio, a project that worked with high school students to produce radio stories about their lives and communities. Her stories have aired on NPR, WNYC’s Studio 360, PRI's The World, and other programs. Yowei has also worked as an associate producer with NPR's Fresh Air with Terry Gross and World Cafe with David Dye. She's received a National Journalism Award from Asian American Journalists Association and an Honorable Mention for Best Documentary award from Third Coast International Audio Festival. She lives in Philadelphia.
