Applies to both the Class of 2009 and Earlier and the Class of 2010 and Later.
Free Electives give students the freedom to pursue interests that may lie outside their major and that extend beyond those addressed in the General Education curriculum. Free Electives fulfill neither the General Education Requirement nor the Major Requirement but are counted toward the total number of credits required for graduation. Students should consult with their academic advisor to determine how many Free Electives will be required for their particular program.
A maximum of 8 c.u. of Free Electives may be taken on a pass/fail basis, though normally it is not recommended that students take this many pass/fail courses (two or three is more typical).
